The 10 Easy Steps To Owning A Home By Moore Custom Homes:

Step 1 - Lot Deposit
A fully refundable $10,000 deposit will hold the site of your choice while design and pricing are being finalized. Deposits are on inventory lots only. If you have your own lot to build on, skip to step 2.
Step 6 - Permit
When you have reviewed and approved your blueprint, we can submit a permit application to the appropriate building department. The time it takes to receive the permit depends on the municipality.
Step 2 - Blueprints
If you already have completed blueprints with an Illinois licensed architect's seal skip to step 3. If you do not have a plan we will work with you and our architect or yours to create a plan that will work with your desired lot. While we are working with the architect your lender will be able to approve financing.
Step 7 - Construction
We will begin the construction of your home as soon as the permit is granted. It will be approximately six months until completion and closing.
Step 3 - Contract
Once pricing and design changes have been finalized, the formal purchase documents will be drawn up. At the time of contract signing, a total of 10% of the purchase price is required as earnest money.

Step 4 - Financing
After your contract is signed, you may work with the lender of your choice to secure the financing for your new home. We carry the cost of construction, so all you need to do is apply for a conventional mortgage that is paid out at closing.
Step 9 - Final Inspection
Upon completion of your home, a representative of Moore Custom Homes will make an appointment with you for a final "walk-through". Any items in need of adjustment will be noted at this time and taken care of in a timely manner.
Step 5 - Selections
As soon as your contract is signed, we will set up an appointment with you to explain the selection process and time frame in which you are to make decisions for your new home.
Step 10 - Closing
Congratulations! After closing at a local title company, you will be the proud owner of one of the finest custom homes in the area. Your home will have a one-year warranty, taken care of by one of our competent staff members.
